Ffostrasol won the league on Goal Average by 0.014 goals. For those of you who don't know what goal average is, (I had to look it up myself) I will try and explain it here.
Goal average is calculated by dividing the total number of goals a team scores by the number of goals the team concedes for the season. What it essentially gives you is the number of goals a team scores per goal they concede. Taking Ffostrasol as an example, dividing 70 by 18 gives us a number of 3.888 which tells us that they scored almost four goals for each goal they conceded.
In fact, the race for the title in this particular season, the goal average was so close that one goal extra for St Dogmaels or one goal less for Ffostrasol would have seen St Dogmaels win the title (assuming this didn't affect the wins, draws, and losses column). Interestingly, if the modern method of goal difference had been used (where goals conceded is subtracted from the goals scored), St Dogmaels would have won the title quite comfortably.
Ffostrasol became the first club to win the league championship 3 times in succession
