Llanybydder won 3-2 on penalties
In a thrilling encounter that produced eight goals, three sendings off and a dramatic penalty shoot-out Llanybydder edged out Cardigan to lift the Percy Eldridge Cup.
In an even first half Cardigan took a twenty fifth minute advantage through a low, well struck effort from Chris Morgan. Chances then developed at both ends before an ugly incident some six minutes from the interval led to the deserved dismissal of three players. Despite however,being reduced to nine men Llanybydder got themselves back on level terms from the ensuing free kick when Darren James headed home.
An exciting second period produced six goals as Jordan James and substitutes Sakariya Abdikarim and Khalid Jamid for Llan exchanged goals with Cardigan's Gary Lawrence and Ashley Thomas who netted twice.
Suprisingly extra time failed to break the deadlock and in the end it was left to victorious skipper and custodian Dai Thomas to pul off the save that clinched the cup for Llanybydder.
