Following the death of Dai Davies, it was decided to rename the Cwpan Ceredigion competition in his honour. Dai was heavily involved with football througout his life, firstly as a player, then as a coach and finally as an administrator, mainly fixture secretary, for this league and many others.
As this was the first competition of the renamed cup, his wife Betty presented the trophy.
